Guests are completely engulfed in light, sound and vibration as over 12,500 LED lights dance across all four sides, as well as the ceiling and the floor of a hermetically sealed room. Hailed as the ‘future of relaxation’ and winner of the European Health & Spa Award for Innovation, the Deep Sea Relaxation Room was designed by inventor and audiologist Daniel Lathan to boost the effectiveness of body treatments by promoting deep relaxation.

With two programmes to choose from, guests are guided into the depths of the ocean and the vastness of the universe solely through light and sound. ‘Real’ images are not involved in the treatment as they might carry distracting memories or experiences.

“Creativity and relaxation are closely linked,” says Lathan. The room, which is based on Lathan’s theories, combines and stimulates the areas of creativity and relaxation in a completely new way, as has been proven by electroencephalogram (EEG) and Heart Rate Variability (HRV) measurements.

The Deep Sea Relaxation Room is located in the Spa Tower and is available exclusively to guests of The Preidlhof. Each 15 minute session costs €15.

The Preidlhof has over 5,000m² of Spa and Wellness facilities providing comprehensive spa and medi-spa packages - including detox programmes, health checks and weight-loss packages - all overseen by fully qualified medical and complementary health practitioners, as well as a team of highly experienced therapists.

Book your stay at The Preidlhof from €160 per person, per night on a full board basis or €1,050 for 7 nights based on two sharing. Rates also include a host of activities including a full schedule of exercise & wellbeing classes, access to the six-floor Spa Tower dedicated to sauna experiences and daily guided hikes and bike rides. Guests can also make use of complimentary DolceVita Vespas and quad bikes to explore further afield.

The hotel offers a free shuttle service from Naturns Train Station and transfers can be arranged from Innsbruck and Verona International Airports.
